• West Nile Virus Prediction
Collaborated with a team to build a model in Python to predict where and when to spray pesticide to prevent outbreaks of West Nile Virus

• Road Closure Identification 
Partnered with a diverse group to create the preliminary functions in Python for scraping social media and news outlets to identify road closures and blockages. Scraped Twitter, the FEMA app, and News API and used NLP functions from NLTK and BeautifulSoup to parse through the text data from each, find keyword matches, and return results in order of relevance and importance

SALES AND SUPPORT, ROUND ROCK GARDEN CENTER

February 2016 - May 2017

• Handled purchases, returns, and exchanges, with daily transactions reaching $5,000 to $7,000 at seasonal peak
• Organized and maintained an inventory of several thousand plants and gardening accessories
• Trained four new employees in cashiering and inventory maintenance
